Another Celebration of Library Magic

Yesterday, while I working at the Northgate Branch, a woman was very excited about my muu muu-like dress--it reminded her of her mom's dresses back on her island in Micronesia. She wanted to know where I got it and I could no longer remember.

She is in Seattle because there are more opportunities in a big city.

But, she said, Micronesia is Paradise.

She lit up when she spoke of being able to go home to visit....

And all this because I was wearing something that was designed to be a house dress.....

I am grateful for the connection I felt with that woman yesterday and grateful for my job which allows me to spend some special moments with so many people.
